Vitabiotics Wellman Prostace is a daily multivitamin and mineral food supplement for men over 18, supplied as a pack of 60 tablets, which is 30 days at two tablets a day. It provides 15mg of zinc, which contributes to the maintenance of normal testosterone levels in the blood. Wellman Prostace is taken with your main meal and is designed to replace a separate Wellman multivitamin. It is suitable for vegetarians and gluten free, and it contains soya. It is a food supplement and is not a treatment for BPH or any other prostate condition. If you have urinary or prostate symptoms, speak to your GP or pharmacist.

    How Wellman Prostace Works

Wellman Prostace works as part of a balanced diet by topping up the vitamins and minerals men need each day. The key nutrient is zinc, which has an authorised claim for contributing to normal reproductive health and to the maintenance of normal testosterone levels in the blood. Vitamins C, D, B6 and B12 and zinc support normal immune function.

The formula also contains Vitabiotics’ Prostene blend of plant-derived ingredients, including pumpkin seed extract, saw palmetto, soya extract, lycopene and betasitosterol. These are included as part of the formulation. The product does not claim to treat or relieve prostate symptoms, and a food supplement should never replace a varied diet or medical advice.

    NRV = Nutrient Reference Value.

Allergen information: Contains soya. Made on a site that may handle nuts.

    Two other points:

    • Nutrient count: I counted 35 nutrients in the full list, not 34. Change the Key Features bullet to “35 vitamins, minerals and nutrients in one daily serving”, or use “a wide range of vitamins, minerals and nutrients”.
    • NRV check: I cross-checked each %NRV against the standard UK/EU reference values and they all match, so the earlier garbled table is no longer a concern. It is still worth a quick check against your pack

    How to Use

    1. Take two tablets a day with your main meal, on a full stomach.
    2. Swallow with water or a cold drink. Do not chew.
    3. Do not exceed the recommended intake.
    4. Store below 25°C in a dry place, out of the sight and reach of children.

Food supplements should not replace a varied and balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle. Not suitable for children. The green tea extract is not recommended for anyone under 18, for use on an empty stomach or alongside other green tea products. It contains about 0.13mg of caffeine per tablet, so it is not recommended if you are sensitive to caffeine.

Speak to your doctor or pharmacist before use if you are under medical supervision, have epilepsy, a thyroid disorder or haemochromatosis, have food allergies, or are allergic to any ingredient. Iron can be harmful to very young children if taken in excess.

    Frequently Asked Questions

    1. What is Wellman Prostace used for?

Wellman Prostace is a daily multivitamin and mineral supplement for men. Its zinc contributes to normal reproductive health and to the maintenance of normal testosterone levels in the blood, and several of its vitamins contribute to normal immune function. It is not a medicine.

    2. Is Wellman Prostace good for the prostate, or for prostatitis?

Wellman Prostace is a food supplement, not a treatment for BPH, prostatitis or any other prostate condition, and it makes no claim to relieve prostate symptoms. It contains plant ingredients such as saw palmetto and pumpkin seed extract as part of the formula. If you have difficulty passing urine, pain or any other prostate symptoms, speak to your GP or pharmacist.

    3. Does Wellman Prostace increase testosterone?

No. It is not a testosterone booster. The only testosterone-related claim is for zinc, which contributes to the maintenance of normal testosterone levels in the blood as part of a balanced diet. Each daily serving provides 15mg of zinc.

    4. How do I take Wellman Prostace, and what time of day is best?

Take two tablets a day with your main meal, on a full stomach, swallowed with water or a cold drink. Any main meal will do, so choose the one you find easiest to remember. Do not take more than the recommended amount.

    5. How long does Wellman Prostace take to work?

A supplement is not a medicine, so there is no set time for it to “work”, and individual results vary. Vitamins and minerals are best taken consistently as part of a balanced diet. A pack of 60 tablets covers 30 days at the recommended intake. If you have a health concern, see your GP rather than waiting on a supplement.

    6. Are there any side effects, and who should not take it?

No side effects are listed by the manufacturer when taken as directed. It is for men over 18 and is not suitable for children. It contains soya, so avoid it if you are allergic. Speak to your doctor or pharmacist first if you are under medical supervision or have epilepsy, a thyroid disorder or haemochromatosis. The green tea extract contains a small amount of caffeine.
