Product Description

Optase Tea Tree Oil Eyelid Cleansing Gel 50ml Preservative Free

Optase Tea Tree Oil Eyelid Cleansing Gel is a preservative free daily eyelid cleanser that removes make-up, dirt and debris from the eyelids and the base of the lashes. It is a 3-in-1 formula: tea tree oil cleanses, while pro-vitamin B5 and hyaluronic acid moisturise and soothe. The tube holds 50ml, and the gel is suitable for people who may be prone to blepharitis and dry eyes.

This Optase eyelid cleansing gel (also sold as Optase TTO Eyelid Cleansing Gel) is the cleanse step in Optase’s three-step Heat, Cleanse, Hydrate routine for dry eyes, blepharitis and meibomian gland dysfunction (MGD). You apply it with clean fingertips to closed eyelids, then rinse. It is for the eyelids only and must not be applied directly into the eye.

Key Features:

  • 3-in-1 eyelid cleanser: cleanses, moisturises and soothes the eyelids in one step.
  • Tea tree oil with hyaluronic acid and pro-vitamin B5: tea tree oil (Melaleuca alternifolia leaf oil) cleanses, and sodium hyaluronate and panthenol moisturise.
  • Preservative free formula, 50ml: for daily lid hygiene, applied morning and evening.
  • Dermatologically tested for use on sensitive skin, according to Optase.
  • Lasts about two months: Optase says one bottle lasts around two months with twice-daily use.

How Optase Eyelid Cleansing Gel Works

Optase Tea Tree Oil Eyelid Cleansing Gel is a water-based gel that contains surfactants, which are cleansing agents that lift away dirt, make-up and debris. You massage it gently along the eyelids and the base of the eyelashes, where debris builds up, and then rinse it off with water.

Optase says tea tree oil gives the cleansing action, while hyaluronic acid and pro-vitamin B5 (panthenol) are the moisturising ingredients. Because it is a rinse-off gel, it is used on the eyelid skin and lash bases, not in the eye.

This is a lid hygiene product, not a treatment. Results vary from person to person.
