Product Description

Blepha Eye Gel Daily Eyelid Cleansing Gel 30g

Blepha Gel, also written as Blephagel, is a preservative-free eyelid cleansing gel made by Théa Pharmaceuticals for daily care of the eyelids and eyelash roots. It is a non-greasy, perfume-free gel designed to lift away dirt, make-up, dried secretions and crusts from the lid margins, and it does not need rinsing off. The 30g pack uses an airless pump, so the gel is dispensed without squeezing the tube. This helps keep the contents clean between uses.

You apply it to the closed eyelid and lash roots with a cotton pad, massage it in small circles, then wipe away the excess. It is used once or twice a day, usually morning and evening, and is described as suitable for sensitive, irritated or allergy-prone skin and for contact lens wearers. It is for external use only and should not be put directly into the eye. If you have eye pain, a change in vision or very red eyes, see an optician or GP before using it.

Key Features

  • Preservative-free eyelid cleansing gel for daily use on the eyelids and lash roots
  • Free from perfume, parabens and alcohol
  • Non-greasy gel that does not need rinsing off
  • 30g airless pump, with up to 60 applications from one pack
  • One pump is enough for both eyes when split across two pads
  • Suitable for sensitive, irritated and allergy-prone skin, and for contact lens wearers
  • Used once or twice a day, or as often as needed

How Blepha Gel Works

The edges of the eyelids can collect oils, dead skin, make-up and debris, which may leave the lids feeling crusty, sore or itchy. Blepha Gel is a gentle cleansing gel that loosens and removes this build-up from the lid margins when massaged in with a pad.

The formula uses a mild surface-active ingredient (poloxamer 188) with a carbomer gel base, so it stays where you apply it and wipes away cleanly. It is a cleanser, not a medicine. It supports a daily eyelid hygiene routine, which is the part of blepharitis care that is usually recommended on a long-term basis. It does not cure blepharitis.

Ingredients

Aqua (water), Poloxamer 188, PEG-90, Carbomer, Sodium Hydroxide.

The formula contains no preservatives, perfume, parabens or alcohol. Ingredients can change, so check the carton in your pack.

How to Use

  1. Wash your hands. Remove contact lenses and eye make-up if you wish.
  2. For a new pack, gently press the front of the tube for about 3 seconds so the gel moves up to the pump.
  3. Pump the gel onto a clean cotton pad. Do not squeeze the tube, and wipe any gel from the nozzle.
  4. With one eye closed, apply the gel to the eyelid and lash roots.
  5. Massage gently in small circles until any debris is lifted.
  6. Wipe away the excess with a fresh pad. Do not rinse.
  7. Repeat with a new pad for the other eye.

How often: Once or twice a day, usually morning and evening, or as advised by your optician or healthcare professional.

Warnings: For external use only. Do not put it directly into the eye. Do not cut open the tube. Do not share it. Store below 25°C and keep out of the reach of children. Stop using it and seek advice if irritation develops. Do not use after the expiry date on the pack.

2. How do I use Blepha Gel?

Pump a small amount onto a cotton pad, close your eye, and rub it gently in circles over the lid and lash roots. Wipe away the excess with a clean pad and repeat for the other eye. Wash your hands first and do not squeeze the tube.

3. How often can I use Blephagel?

You can use it once or twice a day, usually morning and evening, or as often as needed. Follow the advice of your optician or healthcare professional if they have recommended a different routine.

4. Is Blephagel preservative-free, and is it safe for contact lens wearers?

Yes, it is formulated without preservatives, perfume, parabens or alcohol. The manufacturer describes it as suitable for contact lens wearers. Do not apply it directly into the eye, and stop using it if irritation occurs.

5. What is the difference between Blepha Gel and Blephasol?
