Product Description

Ashtons And Parsons Teething Gel 10ml For Teething Pain Relief

Ashton & Parsons Teething Gel is a banana-flavoured gel for relieving the discomfort and pain of teething. It is a medical device that forms a thin, invisible film over the gums, and it comes in a 10ml tube with a soft applicator for massaging the gums, so fingers are not needed. The gel is lactose free, sugar free, alcohol free and does not contain a local anaesthetic. It is also searched for as Ashtons and Parsons teething gel or Ashton Parsons teething gel.

You apply a pea-sized amount to the sore area and gently massage the gums with the applicator, 3 to 4 times a day as needed. For infants, applying it after meals and before sleep helps the film build up and last longer. It is a medical device and not a toy, so never leave it in a child’s hands because of the choking risk, and use each tube for one child only. Read the leaflet inside the pack before use, and speak to a pharmacist or GP if your baby is unwell or you are unsure.

How Ashton & Parsons Teething Gel Works

Teething can make gums feel sore and swollen, and babies often become unsettled, dribble more and chew on anything they can reach. The gel is applied directly to the gums, where it forms a thin film over the sore area. This film is designed to sit on the gums and protect the area from irritation.

The film builds up with repeated applications, which is why the manufacturer suggests applying the gel after meals and before sleep. The gel does not contain a local anaesthetic, so it does not numb the gums. It is a medical device for teething discomfort and does not shorten the time a tooth takes to come through.

2. How do I use Ashton & Parsons Teething Gel?

Apply a pea-sized amount to the affected area and gently massage the gums with the applicator. Replace the cap after each use. Wash your hands first, and never leave the tube in a child’s hands.

3. How often can I use Ashton & Parsons Teething Gel?

You can use it 3 to 4 times a day as needed. For infants, applying it after meals and before sleep helps the film build up and last longer. Follow the leaflet in your pack.

4. How quickly does it work?

The manufacturer does not give a set time. The gel works as a protective film on the gums, and the film builds up with repeated use. If your baby is still in pain or unsettled after a few days, speak to a pharmacist or health visitor.

5. What age can you use Ashton & Parsons Teething Gel, and can I use it with Calpol or teething powder?

Do not use it if your baby has had a reaction to any of the ingredients. It does not contain a local anaesthetic. Stop using it and seek advice if redness, swelling or irritation develops. Each tube is for one child only. If your baby has a fever, is refusing feeds or seems very unwell, do not assume it is teething, so see a GP or call NHS 111.
